Public-private investments are necessary in the first phase of the programme to tackle bottlenecks in four domains:

  • Knowledge base and innovation base
  • People and skills
  • Applying AI systems
  • Collaboration within the ecosystem

Each sub-programme has various components aimed at specific elements in the quadruple helix: target groups, collaborations or at intended results.

The foundations for implementing AiNed comprise a single national AI network that operates as a coherent whole. The AI hubs in the various regions of the Netherlands play an important role in linking with local stakeholders, knowledge institutions and other organisations that work with AI and getting them involved. This is how the AiNed programme is helping Dutch companies and public institutions to take essential steps with AI that are economically and societally extremely important.
